Michelle | Office Administrator / Technician
Originally from Pasadena, Michelle relocated to Long Beach after getting married. She is a Certified Ophthalmic Technician and has worked in the ophthalmic field for over 20 years. During her career, Michelle has worked for many different clinics including Laser Eye Center and USC’s Doheny Eye Institute. Michelle holds an Associates's Degree in Social and Behavioral Science and is a Certified American Sign Language Interpreter. She enjoys the challenges faced at work and has taken on many roles in the office, including onsite Computer Tech Support and Office Administration. While away from work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, beautiful daughter, and beloved Golden Retrievers.
Desiree' | Manager / Technician
Desiree’ was born and raised in Southern California but spent her high school years in Washington. Shortly after graduation, she moved back to Southern California with her husband to pursue a career in Healthcare and fell in love with Ophthalmology. She has spent over 19 years working in the field (most of those years with Dr. Geisse). Desiree’ spent two years working with other specialists but has now returned to work with Dr. Geisse. Outside of work, Desiree’ has two active children who keep her and her husband very busy.
Gina | Technician
Originally from Illinois, Gina moved to Seal Beach, California, when she was in 5th grade. She has resided in Seal Beach since and loves the weather and beaches. Gina has worked in ophthalmology for over 30 years but has learned the most working for Dr. Geisse. She loves the office, staff, and patients and feels the office is her home away from home. Gina has one teenage daughter and is newly married to the love of her life as of November 2019. Her daughter, husband, and 3 dogs (Cavalier King Charles and 2 Shih Tzu's) keep her on her toes. On the weekends, she and her husband enjoy taking their Harley along the coast.

Eric | Optician
Eric is a second-generation Californian and began his optical career with Morookian Opticians in Long Beach after completing his Ophthalmic Technician training in Anaheim. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Diego, is a Registered Dispensing Optician, and has been licensed for over 25 years. His favorite pastimes are food, wine tasting, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Myrna | Office Assistant
Myrna grew up in San Pedro, CA., and has worked in the Ophthalmology field for 21 years, working mainly on the administrative side, including billing authorizations, contracting, credentialing, and supplies. She works hard to troubleshoot problems patients might have with insurance issues. She is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.

Teri | Technician / LVN
A Minnesota native, Teri was born and raised in a small town in Northern Minnesota and completed nursing school in St. Cloud, Minnesota. After graduation, she worked as a charge nurse in a Nursing Home and an Intensive Care Unit of a hospital before moving with her husband to Florida. While in Florida, Teri began her ophthalmic career as an office and private scrub nurse for ten years. Teri and her husband relocated to Southern California, where she has worked for Dr. Richard Kratz in Newport Beach, Dr. James Boyce in Garden Grove, and Dr. Michael Farley in Newport Beach. Teri has spent the past ten years of her career with Dr. Geisse as his office nurse and technician. She enjoys spending her time off with her high school sweetheart husband, walking on the beach, or riding their Harley.

Amber | Technician
Amber was born in Riverside and started working with Dr. Geisse as an Ophthalmic Technician in 2000. After getting married and relocating to Moreno Valley, she assisted Dr. Geisse with transcription and medical letters. Upon moving back to the Los Alamitos area, Amber rejoined the practice and is now working in the back office. In her free time, Amber enjoys helping her husband with the Long Beach Heartwell Fastpitch girls’ softball league, where her youngest daughter plays.
